Bright Futures is committed to the sustainable alleviation of poverty and works with its development partners in India, Pakistan, Uganda and Kenya to deliver education, health and development programs to skill and empower people to break free of their circumstance.
In India the focus is on school-based education, vocational training, healthcare and self-help groups, with more than a thousand children and adults assisted every day.
In Pakistan the education of children, particularly girls, is central, with the provision of clean water also a priority.
In Kenya there is a focus on the empowerment of women through vocational and business skills training and mentoring in the Maururi and Mathare slums in Nairobi. More than 1,500 women and their families have been assisted through the project.
In Northern Uganda the focus is on healthcare at Lukodi Health Centre, in particular birthing services for mothers and babies, and on the education of the children of refugees.
